Welcome to J P F
J P F is a semi hardcore raiding guild with an appealing social aspect also. Our primary goal is to challenge all of the encounters Blizzard is implementing, preserve our reputation as being one of the most successful guilds on Bloodhoof (EU) and have fun while doing that. Thus, our expectations on applicants and guild members are highly demanding.
We are currenty recruiting the following classes.
1x Feral Druid
1x Enhancement Shaman
If you feel you have what it takes to join JPF then post an application HERE
Applicants that apply to J P F are expected to shine and excel in their class. We’ve had a good deal of people that turned up not meeting our requirements and we do not want to do the same mistake again. Applicants should be able to understand tactics easily, perform accordingly, react fast and smart and be able to adapt to changing circumstances. There is no point in topping the damage or the healing meters if you cannot move out of harm fast enough. Also, you should have a good understanding of game mechanics as well as a basic understanding of other classes.
While we do not value gear as much as skill, we do expect applicants to have some epic level 80 pve gear. We do not recruit people to dress them up from greens to epics. However, the most important thing about your gear is to show that you understand your class role in a raiding group.
We have 5 raids per week: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. All raids start at 20:00 and end at 23:00 game time. You are expected to attend 4 out of 5 of these at least. Not being able to attend all raids and for their full duration requires a very good reason that needs Officers’ and Class Advisors’ approval.
Outside of raiding, you are expected to play enough in order to be able to join guild 10-man runs, 5 man heroic groups, farm for consumables, join for outdoor bosses and occasional PvP action. In other words, we want you to be active outside of raiding as well. We also expect you to do any reputation grinds that are necessary to obtain the best possible gear and enchants.
We also require that you check the guild forums regularly and get yourself updated on new rules, tactics and information regarding the game. Forums are a very good way to increase your reputation and get familiar with the other guild members as well.
Being social, talkative when you have to, and well mannered is also a requirement - but, just as equally, you should know when to stay quiet. We might be a raiding guild but we do not stop being a group of social beings; we expect you to be as well. As much easy going people as we might be from times to times however, we need you to be very serious while raiding. You should also be very careful with your behavior when bearing our guild name - we have a good reputation on the server and we won’t tolerate rudeness and bad behavior towards other people, in or out of the guild.
Lastly, be motivated. We should not be chasing you around in order to bring all the necessary consumables and enchant your gear with all the top enchants; you should do that yourself. Take initiative and go check boss tactics, or ask our members. Be prepared, both physically and mentally. Motivation is the fuel of the raiding part of the guild.
While you in your trial period...:
Keep in mind that if we find out you're applying to several guilds at once your application will be denied!
As an applicant, you should keep a low profile but in the same time, show some zeal about raiding. We do not want friendly and cute-only people; we want effective raiders.
Be online and prepared, at the latest, 19.45 for every raid you sign for and maintain 80% attendance when you made member status. Inform yourself about our raid destinations and be online, fully equipped and let the Council know you are ready for a possible invite. Repeated failure to do this will lead to a rejection of your application.
Please be aware that you cannot expect to get help doing any of the attunement quests and therefore it is required that you have them done before you apply to us.
We are an endgame raiding guild with focus on 25 man instances. The amount of effort we expect from you is not merely that needed to clear some trivial Naxx content, but rather that which is required to clear the more challenging encounters to come. We currently raid 5 times a week between 20:00 and 23:00 game time, and the time not spent raiding, requires lots of farming/dailies for money and to ensure you have the best flasks/elixirs/potions. Repair costs can get nasty when spending 5 hours wiping at the same boss. So be aware that it will be very expensive and we expect you to be prepared, handle it well, and do so without whining. If you think you do not have what it takes, please do not apply to J P F.
Be ready to receive both positive and negative criticism. In the case of negative criticism, instead of causing drama, deal with it and make tries to improve yourself. If you simply suck we won't hesitate to let you know! No drama = happy raiders. Accept advice and feedback given to you by others. If you cannot take advice and recommendations, you are not J P F material.
One last thing: Apply with the character you play the most and be active during your applicant period. We want people who enjoy their class and have no plans in switching mains or leaving the guild anytime soon.
During the pending application, try to keep in touch with our members to see if you can join in our raids or groups. We encourage initiative.
If you agree with all the above, then you should keep reading!
Among other things we require that you:
• are an excellent performer, know your class extremely well, and apply that in raids.
• preferably have a good amount of 25-man raiding experience, especially the more difficult ones
• have a good reputation on the server (note that we will check this out)
• have a positive attitude in raids.
• show maturity by avoiding drama, not being a "lootwhore", and in general being humble
• be willing to assist others, especially where it benefits the guild,
• participate in guild events (aka being active).
• be active on the forums.
• be able to speak, write and understand English at a reasonable level
• show an understanding of cultural differences between members in how they communicate
• have gear suitable to our current raiding content.
• always have the necessary money and consumables to raid
• be willing to respec if we ask you to.
• have close to 100% attendance (as much as humanly possible). That means being able to raid on the following days:
Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 20:00 till 23:00 (server time).
• be 16 years old and above (rare exceptions apply).
• have Teamspeak, Omen, Ora2, and DeadlyBossMods. A microphone is not required, as long as you can listen, but it's a plus.
• have a stable Internet connection and a PC that will not explode with all the spell effects that are normally part of 25-man raiding.
• not whine about things
• not be a gnome (kidding… )
Who should not apply…
• People who are not excellent players
• People who don't focus 100% when they are raiding
• People who think they can gear up at J P F
• People that are only online from raid start to raid end
• People that dislike all forms of social interaction in a guild
• People who are guild-hoppers or mmo-hoppers. If you join us, it's to stay, otherwise we are not interested.
• Immature, impatient and humorless people.
• Selfish people who only care about loot.
• People who plan on going AFK all the time for various reasons.
• People who cannot withstand negative criticism and who refuse to do what their class mentor or raid leader ask.
• People who can not meet our raid requirements, including our raiding schedule.
• People who cause drama for no reason.
